What we collect. When you donate, pledge, or contact us, we collect the information you provide: name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and donation details. Card payments are processed by our payment processor (Sola/Cardknox); full card numbers never touch our servers.
How we use it. We use your information to process donations, issue tax receipts, maintain accurate giving records, respond to your messages, and — if you've opted in — send you marketing and informational messages about our work, fundraising appeals, and reminders about your scheduled giving.
Text messaging (SMS). If you provide your mobile number and opt in, we may send you recurring automated marketing and informational text messages, such as donation receipts, scheduled-gift reminders, fundraising appeals, event and organizational updates, and marketing and promotional messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help.
We do not sell or share your information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate (payment processing, email delivery, SMS delivery, shipping), and only as needed to provide those services.
Retention and security. Donation records are retained as required for tax and audit purposes, per our written retention schedule: financial records and receipts 7 years; consent records for the life of the consent plus 4 years; communication logs 2 years. We protect your information with industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit and access controls.
Children. Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Family composition details (such as a child's name for a simcha) are collected only from adult household members.
Your choices. You may opt out of emails via the unsubscribe link in any email, opt out of texts by replying STOP, or contact us to review or correct your information.
